By purchasing or using an electronic gift card (hereinafter referred to as "Gift Card") from Readly, you accept the following:
The Gift Card is issued by Readly AB, company registration number 556921-1120, with registered office at Gjörwellsgatan 30, 112 60 Stockholm, Sweden, ("Readly").
Readly reserves the right to refuse to honor any Gift Card in the event of a disputed credit card charge or other failure of consideration. A Gift Card is not valid and Readly will assume no liability if it is obtained from unauthorized sellers, distributors, or resellers, including through Internet auction sites.
The Readly General Terms and Conditions of Use (the “General Terms”) which are available at https://gb.readly.com/eula/ (https://gb.readly.com/eula), supplements these Gift Card Terms of Use. The General Terms contain further terms of use, e.g., with regard to the collection and use of personal data, general conditions for the services offered by Readly as well as information regarding applicable law, which also applies to the purchase or use of Gift Cards, unless regulated differently in these Gift Card Terms of Use.
When you have paid for a Gift Card from the Readly online store at https://gb.readly.com/giftcards (https://gb.readly.com/giftcards) or through an online retailer, you will then receive a code to redeem the Gift Card to the email address you provided after completing the purchase process. The Gift Card may be used by you or given away to a third party ("Beneficiary"). To buy a Gift Card, you require a payment method that is registered in the country of purchase.
The Gift Card cannot be redeemed for discounted subscriptions, such as trial offers or offers combining Readly with other companies’ products or services.
The Gift Card cannot be redeemed in exchange for cash or a credit note and can neither be resold.
To redeem the Gift Card, you or the Beneficiary must have or register for a Readly user account in the country where the Gift Card was purchased. To do so, you or the beneficiary must meet the requirements set out in the General Terms above, in particular with regard to specified minimum age, place of residence and to have the necessary technical equipment.
To redeem the Gift Card, please visit https://gb.readly.com/giftcards/redeem (https://gb.readly.com/giftcards/redeem).
The Gift Card must be redeemed within 36 months of the date of purchase, i.e. until the expiry of the calendar date of the date of purchase 3 years later. After that, the code expires without replacement and the Gift Card can no longer be redeemed.
The Gift Card is for one-time use only. Its full value will be deducted after redemption for the benefit of a single account. A gradual redemption or a gradual credit note is not possible. The payment method for an account opened with a Gift Card can be changed to for instance credit card payment once the value of the Gift Card has been used up.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the General Terms, a user account activated from a Gift Card can be used for both private and professional purposes.
If you buy the Gift Card for private use for yourself or the Beneficiary (meaning not for business purposes), you have the right of withdrawal for the purchase of a Gift Card online. You have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract without any specific motivation. The withdrawal right can be exercised during fourteen days from the day on which the code for redeeming the Gift Card is received in the inbox of the email address provided by you.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision to withdraw from the purchase contract by means of a clear statement by email to support.uk@readly.com (support.uk@readly.com), or by regular mail to Readly AB, Gjörwellsgatan 30, 112 60 Stockholm, Sweden. You can use the below Sample withdrawal form, but it is not mandatory. For the withdrawal to be valid, it is sufficient that you send the notification of the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the expiry of the fourteen-day period.
Sample withdrawal form:
I hereby revoke the contract concluded by me for the purchase of an electronic gift card.
Ordered on [.........] with order number [.........] and received on [.........].
Name: [.........]
Email-address: [.........]
Date: [.........]
Consequences of withdrawal
If you exercise your right of withdrawal, we will then reimburse all payments received from you immediately and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received the notice of withdrawal.
Repayment will be executed using the same means of payment as used for the original transaction. We will charge no fees for the repayment.
Upon receiving your notice of withdrawal, we will deactivate the code of the Gift Card immediately, so that the Gift Card can no longer be redeemed. If the Gift Card has already been redeemed by a beneficiary at the time of withdrawal, we recommend that you inform him/her that access to the account will cease and he/she can thereafter no longer use the service, unless he/she adds another payment method.
Obligation to pay compensation
If you have effectively withdrawn from the contract for the purchase of the Gift Card after it has already been redeemed by you or the beneficiary, you must compensate for the value of the redeemed Gift Card. Readly is entitled to deduct such compensation before refunding the purchase payment.
Readly, its legal representatives and agents assume no liability for typographical errors in the email address provided by you to receive the Gift Card, neither for loss, theft, misuse or delayed transmission of the Gift Card due to reasons under your control and/or responsibility.
In case of any discrepancies or contradictions, these Gift Card Terms of Use will prevail over anything stated in the order flow when purchasing the Gift Card.
